 Mission Statement:

To create and provide a Positive, Encouraging, Motivating and Spiritually sound environment to foster growth and communication for women (DIVA’s)

Our Objectives:

• Building positive self esteem and confidence
• Building strong TEMPLES with encouragement from each other
• Providing a place where women can fellowship and enjoy activities and shared interests
• Providing a place where women can “Unveil the Queen Within” ^TM and discover themselves
• Providing a positive environment for women to deal with everyday issues and be supported
• Providing a positive environment for women to challenge themselves to “Step outside the box”

About Hadassah's Retreat Creation:

Hadassah is the Hebrew name for Esther

I chose the name because of it's meaning: Myrtle Tree and Joy

The Myrtle Tree is described as a low tree

with green leaves and white flowers bordered with purple.

Purple and White are the group colors.

White standing for purity and light.  

Purple standing for wealth, affluence.

            Hadassah's Retreat was created because of some very important ideas / issues that I have constantly met as a Fitness Trainer and Counseling Psychology major as well as in my own personal journey in life.  After re-reading the book of Esther in the bible, I begin to see ways that I felt we as women could make small but effective changes in our lives to better ourselves primarily for God and then for ourselves and others.

            The main point that stood out to me in the book of Esther was her obedience and willingness to obey God. Because of her obedience, God was able to use her for "...Such a time as this" (Esther 4:14). I imagine it was not easy but because of her love and respect for God, she could be used in his plan to save her people.

            Each of the young women who were brought to the palace spent a year in preparation to beautify herself for the king. This included soaking in olive oil and myrrh, and being adorned with the finest cosmetics and perfumes. I thought about this and wondered what would happen if we as women of today's times took that same attitude of preparing ourselves for God as our King and for ourselves. What if we spent time beautifying ourselves for Him by taking care of our TEMPLES?

          I have realized how many women are living life not appreciating themselves. Feeling as if they don't measure up, they aren't pretty enough, they don't dress nice enough or whatever reasons they are downing themselves. The myrtle flower has been creatively described by Smith’s Online Dictionary as emitting "a perfume more exquisite than that of the rose." That is how I feel we as women should value ourselves. I think we are like an exquisitely delicate flower. We are made of so many different layers and we have to remember to take care of them all.  

          My hope is that this group will bring together women who will empower each other to be all that we can be for God, ourselves and each other.

We should all "Unveil the Queen Within" ^TM. 

          We should appreciate and value ourselves as the "....fearfully and wonderfully made..." (Psalm 139:4) beings that God created and intended for us to be.

          Hadassah's Retreat is a safe haven of inspiration, motivation, encouragement and self-help on your personal journey's.  Hadassah's Retreat is an oasis for women to come and be exposed to Life Coaching, Fitness, Massage Therapy and many other forms of holistic and health & wellness care and activities to better themselves not only mentally and spiritually, but also physically.

Our Goal:

To work on the whole person and help women to walk into the destinies they were created for as  a beautiful self-confident, healthy, vivacious and virtuous creation of God.

How can you help us grow and build in the

community?

We are focused on making a difference in women's lives by encouraging them to live their lives to the fullest.  This can happen in a variety of ways.

We are looking for:

• Positive activities to participate in and around the community
• Job opportunities for the women
• Support and guidance for women starting their own businesses
• Monetary Donations
• Mentors
• Tutors
• Etc.

We welcome anyone who is interested in volunteering their time and expertise to our group by either coming to a group meeting and giving a lecture or by mentoring a member or members of the group.  Please use our contact form and let us know how you would like to help.  Thank you in advance for your help and participation.
